INT. INTERVIEW STUDIO

 And while he brushed his teeth in that mirror, he thought about all the microbes being slaughtered by his pursuit of hygiene. Daily. And it’s at this point that he was really starting to feel himself come upon this realization that we as humans only thought we were these important indelible creatures, because we were human. Of course we were going to think that. To him it was all too clear that it’s just a fable to tell ourselves so that progress has a reason. To reassure us that we’re different from the microbes. And then after he spat into the sink and gazed at it for a second to see if the shape reminded him of anything, he looked back up into the mirror and wondered if he was being ridiculous. He then imagined saying some of the things he was just thinking about to a bunch of different people, and none of the simulated reactions were too favorable, which only left him feeling more confused, because the original thought still resonated with him…. and he realized he was probably going to have to hide this part of himself from the world.
